This is recreational sailing, we're not here to suffer

Suddenly Adriatic, Epilogue

Three people meet. They have never seen each other before; although they met through social media, they were not previously connected there.
They travel thousands of kilometers to a Greek island to board a sailboat and bring it nearly 1,000 km north.
Over the next four days, they will spend time together in close quarters, through wind and weather, relying on and trusting each other.
Within the first few hours, everyone finds their role on board. There is no need to give instructions, no confusion about what needs to be done; everyone pitches in, giving each other the space needed to keep the boat moving around the clock.

They sail against a magnificent backdrop through sunsets, moonrises, sunshine, and thunderstorms, are stopped by the police, and so on and so forth.

When they disembark four days later, it feels — at least to me — as if we have known each other for a long time, as if we have been friends for a long time.

Thanks @flowe and @freeminded — that was a truly amazing experience, one I will savor for a long time.
