The boat is finally ready and also almost tidied up and it would be time to sail to the summer pastures. That means following the Trave to Travem\u00fcnde and then in a long arc along the coast to Poel. Unfortunately, we've had a stable easterly wind for some time now, which brings us warm weather but also sometimes strong easterly-northeasterly winds - which means that I have to sail right up against it, or rather a long beat to about Poel. This means that I have to go straight against the wind or make a long beat to Gr\u00f6mitz - no problem at all, but with gusts of 27-30kts (7bft) and probably quite a steep wave (because the wind pushes the water almost the entire east-west length of the Baltic Sea in front of it and then gets higher and steeper in the shallow water here in the Bay of L\u00fcbeck), it's not much fun. I know there are many who don't have a problem with it, I just want to enjoy it and wait a bit for it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the meantime, I have moved back to the SVT, where it is simply nicer to moor, a nice, wind-protected berth and I don't have to pay attention to the whims of the harbour master, who is always in a good mood here (at least so far).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the moment it looks like I might have a chance to sail out on Saturday, but the wind is forecast to be really light, so that might not be enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
