I love single handed sailing, although, when the winds are higher than five bft, a second pair of hands on board is reassuring
I also like sailing with some decent distance to other boats. The baltic sea is large, even the bay of Wismar is still large, and 50m between two boats often seems to tight for me. What I really don't like are situations that 'pull together' \u2013 where it becomes foreseeable that the distance will narrow and either I or someone else will be 'pushed into a corner' \u2013 in other words, the available space decreases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the weekend, I was sailing with a friend who sails on the waters of Berlin and also participates in regattas. It became clear to me that it only seems tight there when you can reach out and shake hands with people on another boat \u2013 while for me, it becomes too tight when I can easily see how many people are on another boat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
